Development and architecture of the online casino and lotteries for Austrian Lotteries
Period: 2017 – 2022 Engagement: through a partner company, as part of the win2day development team, with sprint results presented in person at the Vienna headquarters
- Challenge
- The licensed lottery and online casino operator in Austria, holding a federal government concession (win2day, lotterien.at and the Lotterien, Shaker and Win2Day mobile apps for Android, iOS and Huawei), needed long-term development of its Java backend and web applications, continuous integration of games from external studios and uninterrupted operation of regulated online gambling.
- Solution
- Sibo Consulting provided Java backend and web development, software architecture, IT and business analysis, system integration, implementation of third-party games via web services, live-system support and coordination of the client’s internal and external suppliers (Bitsfabrik, RebCat, MindTake).
- Result
- Five years of continuous development of the operator’s web and mobile applications in a steady sprint rhythm, a repeatable process for launching new games and releases without downtime for operations.

Online payment security for Austrian Lotteries
Period: 2017 – 2022 Engagement: through a partner company, as part of Sibo Consulting’s delivery for win2day and lotterien.at
- Challenge
- Payments in the operator’s online casino, lotteries and mobile apps needed a single security layer that would stand up in a regulated environment and work identically across the web and the Android, iOS and Huawei apps.
- Solution
- Sibo Consulting designed and implemented payment transaction security: digital request signatures (SHA256withRSA, i.e. an RSA signature over a SHA-256 digest), key management and rotation, replay protection and integration into the existing Java backend and the mobile apps.
- Result
- A payment security layer deployed in all of the operator’s web and mobile products and used across the entire online gambling offering of Austrian Lotteries.

Period: since 2023 Engagement: through a partner company, delivered directly into the insurers’ project teams
- Challenge
- Large insurers in Austria and Germany are developing their non-life policy administration systems (property, homes and flats, vehicles), where every change is subject to strict regulatory requirements, testing and documentation.
- Solution
- Sibo Consulting delivers Java development, IT and business analysis, design and implementation of changes in product and process modules, integration with surrounding systems, and testing and documentation to the client’s standards.
- Result
- Long-term cooperation with several insurers at the same time, with changes delivered in a steady release rhythm without production downtime.

Period: 2022 – 2023 Engagement: through a partner company, delivery for the analytical part of the project
- Challenge
- A project to optimise government information systems needed evidence for a database platform decision and a tool for fast data exploration and visualisation.
- Solution
- Sibo Consulting delivered the analytical groundwork, PostgreSQL vs. TimescaleDB performance tests, data migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL and a proof of concept of a data exploration and visualisation tool on Apache Superset.
- Result
- A measurable platform comparison to support the decision, a proven migration path from Oracle and a working visualisation prototype for analysts.

Period: since 2017, ongoing Engagement: Sibo Consulting’s own products, revenue from partner programmes
- Challenge
- Build and operate content portals in the Slovak, Czech and Swiss markets in a highly competitive regulated segment so that both organic traffic and partner-programme revenue keep growing.
- Solution
- Sibo Consulting develops and runs the portals itself: technical SEO, intent-based content strategy, systematic link building, an in-house editorial system and automated checks of content and partner links.
- Result
- Sustained growth in organic visibility and stable performance revenue across three language markets, with eight partners invoiced in the last year.

Our client projects were delivered as subcontracts through partner companies, which is common with large enterprises and their framework agreements. The work itself always went directly into the end client’s project teams. In the last year we invoiced nine clients in Slovakia and abroad, typically four to six in any given month.
